Established 2000 to mark the 70th anniversary of the airbourne Troops. The obverse of the medal shows a General with three parachutes round him and the russian words for "70 YEARS OF CREATION OF AIR-LANDING ARMIES OF THE USSR" around the rim. The reverse of the medal depcitts a parachute over the USSR with the dates 1930 - 2000 and the russian words "ANYBODY EXCEPT FOR US" at the top.
