Notes : A 16 pointed star awarded to personnel whoms act of courage did not attain the level of the Distingushed Flying Cross. Issued for five 2.5 hour sorties from Bomber Crews, Ten 2.5 hour sorties for pilots, or for the destruction of on enemy aeroplane. The Medal shows an eagle in flight with lightning clasped in its talons.
