Awarded by the government of Kuwait, issued in five classes, the medal shown is of the fourth class. The excellent class went to Allied commanders, the first to Brigadiers and Major-Generals, the second to officers of field rank, the third to junior officers and the fourth to all others. The personnel of the British and Canadian governments may accept this medal, but may not wear it, whilst all other allied nations can wear it.
