This particular set of medals has attracted a great number of collectors,
apart from the United Nations Korea medal it is the only medal to use the
same design and ribbon worldwide. All of the medals where based losely around
the French design of 1870. The 13 allied nations agreed this after the Great War
, 14 medals are shown here as the South African medal was issued by the British
government. The ribbon has a distict double rainbow, the rainbow symbolising
'victory', plus it incorparated all the flag colours of the allied nations.
All medals show lady Victory on the obverse, with a couple of exceptions.
